Austin Community Care
ACC (formerly the We Are Love Foundation) was founded in 2017 by our very own Director, Lux.!
What began as a grassroots effort to deliver warm meals and gifts to low-income single parents during the holidays soon grew into a mission of service.
Over the years, ACC expanded to provide clothing, food, water, and survival supplies to Austin’s unhoused community, and later focused on supporting underserved families with free diapers, formula, clothing, and toys.
Today, our mission has evolved once more: to raise scholarship funds that give children access to art education their families could not otherwise afford.
We believe creativity is not a luxury—it’s a lifeline. Access to art empowers children to move beyond survival mode, break cycles of generational poverty, and discover the joy and confidence that come from self-expression.
SAFE in Austin
SAFE in Austin is a nonprofit animal rescue and sanctuary with a mission that goes beyond saving pets.
Founded on the belief that unconditional love has the power to heal, SAFE rescues abused and neglected animals and pairs them with children facing trauma, abuse, or special needs.
By creating a safe space for both animals and people to connect, the organization fosters empathy, resilience, and hope in every interaction.
Today, SAFE in Austin is committed to transforming pain into purpose—offering rescued animals a second chance at life, while giving children the chance to experience healing through compassion, connection, and love.
